MultiCast Networks Inc. (MCN), a premier sports, security, business and events webcasting production company, is designing and upgrading the most technically advanced streaming software package available on the market.

MCN's "SX4" Version 2 which was launched in 2003 at the Continental Cup (curling) in Thunder Bay, now officially known as SX5 v1 incorporates the industry standard H.264 video and audio compression. At the production end, there is a new hardware based compression system which provides as much as 40% improvement on standard industry codecs. This increase provides higher video and audio fidelity while significantly lowering the bandwidth requirements. At the customer end, H.264 streaming decoders are provided for Microsoft XP, MacOS X and Linux.

MCN is constantly improving the new software design and codec that will be adaptable to the new SX5 in order to add another 50% to 70% in overall audio video clarity and efficiency to web streaming content and will also be implemented to the MCN security streaming software program with regards to facial recognition and advanced security solutions.

MultiCast Networks Inc. offers unprecedented simplified streaming solutions to business, security, media, sports and entertainment content providers, in order for them to have ready access to the power and technology they need, whenever they need it. The new (SX5 v1) software is to be launched shortly. This will also be Mac, Linux and MPEG compatible, which will allow us to serve a completely universal audience. With the implementation of (SX5 v1) for any media, sports, entertainment, security or business asset management system, the user interface is a windows friendly icon and button system facilitating point and click navigation.

MCN employs the latest technology in the streaming, hosting, storage, and encoding industries. Our backbone providers include Akamai, AT&T, Qwest, Sprint, Time Warner Telecom and UUNet. Our servers and storage architecture include hardware from Cisco and Intel based proprietary units.
